Johaug girlfriend: – We talk about training at the breakfast table – Aftenposten

Nils Jakob Skulstad Hoff says he and cross-girlfriend has a lot of the same experiences.

They are already among the world’s absolute best but can use each other to get better, Norwegian sport superp Therese Johaug (26) and Nils Jakob Skulstad Hoff (30). – I discuss course training with her. We talk about training at the breakfast table. It’s good mood, says Hoff.

– Do not thrashing

In 2013 the Hoff world champion in double scull with Kjetil Borch. In last year’s World Cup broke the two out in the semi-finals, and ended as number 10. Hoffs back problems were a big part of the reason for the downturn.

– Last year we got a beating. I do not like getting beaten, I will give a beating, says Hoff.

Among other things, Hoff used former ballet coach Jane Paris for changing strength training, with good results.

– The body keeps and tolerate what I give it. I have received the order on his back by prioritizing stabilization training, mobility training and motor skills. In addition, I got myself a new rower who charge back less. It’s super important that I have got it in place, says Hoff.

The coach for rowing, Johan Flodin, says Hoff has undergone a complete change both medically and technically.

– It is not unusual it sneaks in pain in the back of rowers. Much of the force through the back. Now we have been working to repair the damage, and we have got a new technical and physical development, said Flodin.

The weekend 9th and 10th of May opens the Norwegian rowers season with a regatta on Aarungen. The three boats that focus on this season’s Olaf Tufte in’s Single Hoff / Borch in double scull and Are Strandliveien / Kristoffer Brun in double scull lightweight.

Since Brown is Bergenser like Hoff, thus ro-gravity in the country this year in Bergen. Brown and Strandliveien became world champions in 2013, last year it was bronze.

Brown says he is confident that there will be results to write home about this season.

His biggest challenge currently is to get down in weight. The requirement in the lightweight class is that Brown and partner Strandliveien can not be more than 70 kg each on average, and none of them can be over 72.5 kg.
