Referee boss about Norwegian goof in the European Cup: – Not as bad as it looks – Aftenposten

The Norwegian judges receive support at home despite strong reactions from abroad.

The Norwegian referee team consisting of, among others, Svein Oddvar Moen and assistant referees Kim Thomas Haglund and Frank Andås is in rough weather after yesterday’s meeting between Napoli and Ukrainian Dnipro in the Europa League.

Nine minutes from time approved Norwegians JEVEN Seleznyov goal for the visitors, but replays showed that Ukrainians standing in an offside position, and that the goal should not have been standing.

Thus Dnipro a sparkling base before returning the meeting in the semifinals of the Europa League.

– The situation looks worse on TV than it is. It’s crazy enough, there’s a semi-final and I understand that it is not good enough, but it’s not as bad as it looks, says the Norwegian judge boss and former top judge harshly.

Do Linesman was disturbed

He has not been in contact with the Norwegian judges in Naples, but makes the following assessment of the much publicized settlement.

– I imagine Linesman focuses on the first front and considering that he does not interfere with the goalkeeper. But so goes the ball on to scorer, and then it is conceivable that Kim Thomas (Haglund) considering that he is aligned with the defender, says Hauge.

He is thus evident that there is one, not two players standing offside.

– The first player does not interfere with the line of sight to the goalie and not ballinjen. But there is little doubt that it should have been annulled, and focus on the goal scorer has obviously not been good enough when the post arrived, says Hauge.

Enraged Napoli owner

– I’m cursed. It was offside. In a semifinal can not appoint six judges who are incompetent and not able to handle a fight raged Napoli owner Auerlio De Laurentis according to Football Italia.

He goes so far as to claim that UEFA has an agenda against Napoli, and that the Norwegian referee team is incompetent. He straightens powerful guardian against UEFA president Michel Platini.

– It is perhaps time that he gives himself now? If they’re hosting tournaments without being able to guarantee us a competent judge, as we believe it is completely unacceptable. If Platini wants to control the football, so like that, we’re going to pull us away so he can rule as a king, reports The Laurantis.

Terje Hauge hopes Thursday’s decision will have consequences for the Norwegian referee team.

– It is too early to say anything yet. Now they have to get home and get the fight on the distance, so it’s up to UEFA. But I choose to believe that they are so professional that they are thinking more long term and not a single mistake, says Hauge.
