Middlesbrough is only 90 minutes away games in next season’s Premier League. Brentford were beaten 3-0 in the semifinals of the promotion game Friday.
Middlesbrough had brought the 1-2 victory away game against Brentford and were big favorites ahead of the return match at home at the Riverside Stadium. The piston repaid the club to the fullest and won 5-1 on aggregate.
Lee Tomlin opened the scoring midway through the first half when he swung the ball into the corner with a magnificent shot from some 20 meters. In the second half increased Spanish Kike 2-0, before Albert Adomah punctured the match with the home side’s third goal.
Middlesbrough, who is trained by Spanish Aitor Karanka, meetings Norwich or Ipswich in promotion final at Wembley on 25 May.
Norwich and Alexander Tettey has with the 1-1 from the away leg against Jonathan Parr Ipswich. The duel decided at Carrow Road Saturday.
The winner of the promotion finals can look forward to an estimated payout of £ 120 million, equivalent to around 1.4 billion. There are rewards for games in the Premier League next season.
