Norway’s hockey team finished the World Championships in the Czech Republic with 2-3 loss to Belarus after again being severely punished outnumbered.
Victory for Belarusians means they are ready for the quarterfinals. It was clear before the match started that Norway got there whatever the outcome in CEZ Arena in Ostrava on Tuesday.
Norway is the country that has suffered most tominuttere during the base game in the elite World Cup, and it is made also been severely punished for. Norway is also made with the weakest outnumbered percent.
So it was also against Belarus on Tuesday. It did not help to be as good and better in game five against five, when the upper and lower numbers game becomes so decisive.
– We led the match but scored only two goals and we were severely punished for our penalties . All in all I think we did a good championship. We are doing well on the assumptions, said national coach Roy Johansen to MAX.
